Climate

The climate in Montgomery County can be described as moderate, with four distinct seasons. In the summer, temperatures average in the 80’s during the day and in the 50’s at night. In the winter, daytime and nighttime temperatures are usually in the 40’s and 20’s, respectively. According to the Virginia State Department of Climatology, our region experiences 60 percent sunshine, 40 inches of rain and 28 inches of snow annually.
